Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sermon Assistant ("the app," "the Service"), operated by For Worth Dying Inc ("we," "us"). By subscribing to or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service does

Sermon Assistant listens to a live message, detects the Bible verses and quotes that are spoken, and lets an operator send them to ProPresenter with one click. It is an operator's tool — a human approves what goes on screen.

2. Subscriptions, trial & billing

• The Service is offered on a monthly subscription: Basic ($25/mo) and Pro ($49/mo).
• New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged and the subscription begins.
• Billing is handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
• You may cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.
• One subscription covers one church/organization.

3. Bible translations & copyright

• Public-domain translations (such as KJV and WEB) are included and free to use.
• Copyrighted translations (such as NIV, NKJV, NLT) are accessed through your own API.Bible account and key, which you connect in the app. You are responsible for complying with API.Bible's terms and each publisher's requirements, including displaying required copyright notices.
• Text shown on your projection screen comes from your church's own licensed Bible in ProPresenter. The app helps you display it; it does not grant you rights to it.
• The app provides tools to show the required publisher copyright credits (a once-per-service credit slide and per-slide options). You are responsible for using them as your licenses require.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no reselling or sublicensing the app, no reverse-engineering for the purpose of cloning it, no using it to infringe others' rights, and no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems.

5. License to you

Subject to these terms and an active subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app for your organization's ministry use.

6. Availability

We work to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. AI and premium-translation features depend on third-party services and your own internet connection. The app's core scripture and quote detection continues to function locally even without premium AI.

7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Because a human operator approves everything before it appears on screen, you are responsible for what is displayed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or non-payment.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; we'll revise the effective date and, for material changes, notify active subscribers by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
